Timeline The Walking Dead | Season One
SPOILER ALERT
Arrived quietly with only six episodes, designed mostly to the delight of fans of the genre, the first season of The Walking Dead has instead surprised everyone by laying the foundations of a serial universe among the strongest, most followed and long-lived in the history of the television series.
The rural setting, the nature itself that becomes the protagonist, the very cinematic cut, characterized and profound characters who cannot help but be loved, all immersed in a world that forces to confront pain, death and despair are the essential elements that have thrilled this series and its first season.
Below a timeline with the highlights of the First Season of TWD.
PS: the dates are approximate but more or less it all happened in those days.
August 1st, 2010
Rick is badly injured in a shooting and hospitalized in a coma.
August 5th, 2010
The epidemic is global.
August 20th, 2010
Atlanta and other big cities are bombed by the army.
October 2nd, 2010
Rick wakes up from a coma. Morgan and his son Duane are the first people he meets.
October 3rd, 2010
In Atlanta, Rick is saved by Glenn. They join Andrea, Daryl, Dale and others. That same day they flee Atlanta and find Lori and Carl with Shane, in an out-of-town camp.
October 4th, 2010
The camp is invaded by a horde. Amy and Ed die. Jim is bitten and will die along the way.
October 6th, 2010
The group arrives at the CDC where they meet Dr. Jenner.
October 7th, 2010
Jenner decides to blow up the CDC and die in the explosion. Jacqui chooses to stay while Rick and the others flee.
